The Mrs. captured this emblematic Cappadocia scene very early in the morning. She should sell this one to Turkey’s national tourist office.
Early morning balloon rides are huge here, because of the favorable conditions and groovy landscape. The balloon rides got so close to our room, we could hear the burners going off from bed.
Not that we were asleep anyway, thanks to the pre-dawn drummer boy who ran through the streets to wake the village Ramadan fasters for their breakfast. Quickly followed by the dawn prayer call, at full volume, from the mosque across the street. Then the balloons, and maybe a few chickens. We liked staying in Göreme anyway.
