The coastline around Cape Town is simply unbelievable. Has California finally met its match?
This scene looks out to the lighthouses near the Cape of Good Hope (originally knows as the Cape of Storms, but later rebranded). From here, it’s a straight-shot 8,500 km to the South Pole, with not much else along the way.
From these towering cliffs, whale watching is as easy as opening your eyeballs. It’s a marine mammal superhighway. But we were also able to see Chacma Baboons (don’t feed them! keep your windows rolled up!), free-roaming ostrich on the beach, rock hyrax, and a good-sized tortoise.
