The 2010 FIFA World Cup is only months away, and the preparations continue at Green Point stadium in Cape Town.
As the most watched sporting event in the world (sorry, Olympic Games), the eyes of the world are on South Africa’s preparations. Will they complete the stadiums on time (probably yes)? Will they move slum-dwellers away from freeways and other places visitors might see them (probably not)? Will the high violent crime rate affect the tournament (doubtful, but who knows)?
Will Team USA beat Brazil in the finals and take home the Jules Rimet trophy? (Um, yeah. Sure.)
