Pic of the Day: October 19

On to Zambia! Victoria Falls is by some measures the largest waterfall in the world.  During the dry season, the flow reduces enough for visitors to walk right up to the lip of the falls.

The Mosi-ao-Tunya National Park surrounding the falls on the Zambia side is refreshingly free of legalese, or indeed any so-called ‘safety measures’ that might get in the way of your nature experience.  We enjoyed walking on the path with adult baboons, whose razor sharp teeth could have ripped our flesh apart at any moment, without some overbearing park ranger or official sign telling us to ‘be careful’.  (Unless the sign has an emoticon.  Then it’s OK.)
