Our evening game drives at Kruger National Park could be frustrating, particularly after dark. You might spend hours wiggling a spotlight around, with nothing but a few bushbabies to show for hours of work. But sometimes, particularly right at sundown, something special would appear.
This tawny eagle glided right in front of our vehicle, then perched itself on a nearby tree. It looked great standing still, but I thought an action shot might be slightly more artsy.
