Pic of the Day: November 8

The Scribbly Gum Moth leaves patterns on Eucalyptus trees that remind me of my stock portfolio.

These patterns are left by the larvae, who start out small then grow as they munch their way across the bark.  Allegedly, you can see the lines getting fatter over time.  Then it flies away as a fully grown adult, though at 2mm you probably still won’t make its acquaintance easily.

Watching the Yarra Ranges National Park recover from the horrendous wildfires of 2009 is an interesting sight.
