Carnaval in Buenos Aires is different from Brazil. It’s more about neighborhood parades, and the displays are as known for their street theater as their dancing. And if you’re expecting scantily-clad beauties, you’ll be disappointed. It’s more of a family oriented thing.
A few blocks are roped off, and you’ve got an hour or two of dancing, drumming, and kicking, while kids spray each other with silly string on the sidelines. Then everyone goes home, and does it again next weekend.
