As I’m discovering, Krakow is quite the hotbed for tech startups. The IT talent pool here is huge–not too surprising, with almost 200,000 university students in town, and plenty of computer science programs.
The team at applicake.com, a boutique development house with a focus on ruby/rails, was kind enough to let Sharon & I hang out in their new offices. I heard about their hot new sales management product (PipeJump) and their plans for world domination. Thanks Ela, Bartek, Agata, Paul, and everyone at applicake for hosting a strange academic from San Francisco. I’m impressed.
