Australia’s everyday birds seem exotic to the rest of us. This Crimson Rosella looks intimidating up close, but in real life was a charming little parrot who hopped sideways on a picnic table, always trying to get closer to that iSnack 2.0 sandwich (an updated version of Vegemite that didn’t go over well with the locals, but we were willing to give a go at its deeply discounted price).
